The objective of Alder’s English Services is to help academics publish their research in international journals. Good research requires immense amounts of knowledge, time, and money, and it deserves to be published in a good journal.  However, all that effort is to no avail if it is not reported in clear, well-written English. I can help you perfect the English in your academic manuscript.

I succeed when you succeed! When contracted to translate or edit a manuscript, I become part of your team working to publish important research. About 900 articles that I have worked on have been published in international journals. Over 15 years, I have built a portfolio of about 400 clients and more than 60 universities and other research institutions.  The quality of the English is always certified and guaranteed for every manuscript that I edit or translate.

All edits are marked with track changes to help you improve your English for future articles.  The edit includes a complete review of the spelling, grammar, and punctuation. Special attention is paid to sentence construction, verb tenses, prepositions, and numbers. In edited or translated manuscripts, I verify that phrases are clearly stated and that the text flows well in the formal English style required for academic publishing. I verify technical words by searching articles published in the field.

I am a native English speaker. Born and raised in Logan, Utah, USA, I completed my bachelor’s and master’s degrees at universities in the United States. Then I married a Brazilian scientist, and when he finished his PhD, we moved to Brazil in 2007. Since then, I have concentrated on editing and translating scientific articles.

I can issue a Nota Fiscal with a CNPJ. I also work with prepayment packets, which are designed for researchers whose grant is expiring, but the articles are not completed yet.
